CourseGraphic Students in this class will learn about basic woodworking. Topics to be covered include; tools and equipment, planning and design, selecting materials, shop safety, material assembly and final surface preparation. Tools that will be used and demonstrated in class include; Radial Arm Saw, Table Saw, Jointer, Planer, Lathe, Drill Press, Band Saw, Various Sanders, Router, Shaper and Portable Power Tools. Students will be given hands-on training and discuss woodworking planning and techniques, as well as, complete their own woodworking project utilizing the skills and techniques learned in class.
