Molding a President: A Mother’s Precious Love
A look at Abraham Lincoln through the eyes of his two mothers.  What did young Abraham learn from these two influential women? What did they teach him that made him worthy of the White House?  Learn who these two remarkable women were and the roles they played in molding a President.  (This is a face-to-face class, so masks are required.)
Father Abraham: The Lincoln Boys
In this presentation, students will learn more about the four sons of Abraham and Mary Lincoln.  Much is known about Robert Lincoln, but what about the other three sons?  Who where they named after?  How did they live and die?  Did Abraham and Mary have a favorite son?  Students will hear many funny stories about who they were and how they treated guests at the White House.  (This is a face-to-face class, so masks are required.)

Thursday, November 5, 2020
Leaving a Legacy:  Lincoln Beyond the Grave
We all hope to leave a legacy once we are gone.  Abraham Lincoln was no different.  In this presentation, students will learn what happened to Mary and the boys after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.  Who were Lincoln’s descendants?  What did they do to preserve the legacy of Abraham Lincoln?  Where are his descendants today?  You may be surprised by the answers to each of these questions.  (This is a face-to-face class, so masks are required.)
Abraham Lincoln:  Portrait of a President
In this presentation, students will look at the various portraits of Abraham Lincoln and learn the history of photography in his day.  A picture is worth a thousand words, as they say, and this class features pictures from the first portrait of House of Representative Lincoln to the last picture taken right before his death, along with the stories behind a few of the settings.  Students will also learn about the one photograph taken after Lincoln’s death.  (This is a face-to-face class, so masks are required.)
