Young people in agriculture face unique pressures—from long work hours and financial uncertainty to isolation, family expectations, and the demands of balancing farm life with school, work, and personal responsibilities. This free, one-day training gives adults the tools to recognize when youth (ages 12-18) in agriculture are struggling and the confidence to help.

Participants will learn:
  • How to identify signs of mental health or substance use challenges in youth (ages 12-18).
  • Steps to support a youth in distress or crisis.
  • Ways to reduce stigma and start open, supportive conversations.
  • Where to turn for resources in your community.

Whether you are a parent, educator, agricultural professional, 4-H or FFA leader, farm mentor, or community member, this training will give you the knowledge and confidence to support the mental well-being of youth in agriculture.
